15 seconds against scam
Here is the suggestion:
Haven't we all been annoyed by those scammers with their 10g instead of 10k, or fake ectoplasms and sapphires? Wasn't it annoying to recognise you were fooled AFTER you clicked the accept button?
Sure.
Wouldn't it then be nice to have 15 seconds to undo the trade? Just a small box with an undo button and a coundtown timer would do it. 15 seconds is enough time to relize a mistake and click undo, and if the countdown reaches 0, the trade is definitive and cannot be undone. This surely would fix the problem for always.
I hope it can be realized.

Having it undoable after the trade does open it up to some abuse. So instead I'd suggest a 15 second timer that starts after both players click accept in which the trade could be canceled.

Well, people just make mistakes sometimes. My situation is that I make many trade transactions, always hover my mouse over the item. But still I am human, sometimes I forget to check really well, sometimes I'm tired and fail to pay the attention I should.
I pick out many scams just by checking right, the proposal is just as an extra backup in case you for whatever reason failed to notice.

May not fix the problem completely cause I think someone will whine OMG FFS stupid timer come on (without noticing its for their own good), however for the careless traders sake I say yes to this idea

I agree this a great idea after I give some one 30k by mistake I was waiting for my bro char and this guy come from nowhere and open trade I didn't notice him because I was talking with some one then I put the 30k and accept. After I realized I ask him to give it back but he said:" yah sure ****, get lost it is mine now I didn’t ask u to give me any thing"
(donation is accepted jk)

Giving people a 15 second window to cancel a trade after you've done it is just bound to make people piss around by making legitimate trades then cancelling it at the last moment to wind people up. I also doubt the game mechanics would like it.
As i said before... bring up a word-based confirmation box after clicking Accept with a 3-5 second delay on when you can confirm it. That way the word 'gold' not 'platinum' or Mursaat Token' and not 'Glob of Ectoplasm' might become blatantly obvious if you weren't paying enough attention beforehand.
Course most of the scamming is just entirely your own fault for been too hasty.

The other day i sold an elite tome
Put it in box. hit Submit. They put gold (platinum) in and hit submit we both hit accept
Trade window must of been open for 5-10seconds
Heres the kicker - i got payed
After the trade i thought **** should of checked and was dreading hitting "i" for fear of how much i just traded for but when i did i had +7k
The point of this story is FORCING people to take 15seconds looking at trade is a very very good idea - people like me that know the risk but are just impatient and people that don't know the risk are both in danger of not checking (only difference is people like me "deserve" to be scammed for not checking)

Currently the gold is fixed, platinum is not shown, only gold.
For items, it would be much easier if the list were a 'detailed' view, with small icons at the left and the names(and descriptions) at the right, so even if two items have the same icon, the name will be visible all the time.

The problem is not fixed yet, although the gold showing helps quite a bit. The problem is that people usually 'think' in K instead of G, and when not paying enough attention, just seeing the amount and thinking in K still easily mistakes ppl. The G for K scam still happens.

I hate this idea..You should just pay attention to your trade and don't get scammed. I always look at the trade menu...it tells you when it is modified, just don't be in a hurry to trade. Maybe 15 seconds you have to go to a different city or the other person changes his mind about the trade. Maybe you trade like 100k + 50e for a r11 perfect ele sword and are excited about the trade and someone just presses the button and gets the chance to get the item back....no

It would be annoying to have to wait 15 seconds for a trade to complete. That's more or less the same as 15 second load time lag which there alreasy is enough of. I prefer just to pay attention and, having done so, have never messed up a trade.

This would become tiresome rather quickly and in such frustration there would likely be haste not attentiveness.
Wouldn't it be somewhat simpler to add an additional untimed confirmation prompt for trades featuring from 1 to 100 gold (so as to leave gifts and item for item trades out of the picture) or has this already been suggested and struck down? I suspect people tend take more notice in atypical transactions than in a lengthened but none the less ordinary trade process.

this would make transferring items between mules take an immensely amount of time. while i know most people don't have as many mules as I do, most people have a few mules and having to wait that extra time for every trade could add up.
solution? be more careful when trading and pay attention . ..

Paying attention = Not scammed. There is no substitute to this simple principle. If you hurry, cause your too lazy to check your trade, then its your fault if you were scammed.
That being said I think there should be a way to report scammers and whatnot, but take the 15 sec you want for this "timer" and check on your own.
